About Us

In 2023, our family started to realize that most skin products on the market are a scam. Not only do the majority of skin care products contain alcohol (which dries our skin!) but even the clean ones will sometimes add artificial fragrances under the guise of "natural fragrance" or "parfum." If you add in the parabens, petroleum-based ingredients, and the preservatives, then suddenly every skincare product on the market is revealed to be a nasty laboratory concoction. Once we started making our own lip balms and lotions, we realized it was far simpler than most people think. We'd even go so far as to say it's a lost art in our current consumer culture - and one that could easily be brought back.

For those that do not have the time to make their own products, Bella Rotella was born. Each of our products are made by hand in small batches in northern New Jersey. We do not use any fragrances, parabens, artificial ingredients, or petroleum based products. Many of our products use tallow as a base, which is a vitamin-rich, easily absorbed moisturizer that has been documented for hundreds of years as an effective skin product. Other common ingredients include high-quality olive oil, jojoba oil, beeswax and shea butter, and all of our products are scented with carefully sourced essential oils.
